Prerequisites for monitoring SUN StorEdge Array

• OpStor uses StorEdge 6920 SMI Provider to monitor the SUN StorEdge Array
• This Provider can be installed on any server that is reachable from the server where OpStor is installed
• Ensure that, SMI Provider running host and the OpStor installed host are connected via Fibre Channel

Steps to add SUN StorEdge Array in OpStor

• Navigate to Admin Tab --> Manage Storage Devices link in OpStor client
• Provide IP Address of  SUN StorEdge Raid
• Choose Device Type & Vendor as RAID & SUN
• In the Username field, provide the SMI-S Provider uername
• In the Password field enter the SMI-S Provider password
• Provide the Port number at which the CIM Agent is running(5989 or 5988)
• Choose whether the SSL should be Enabled(https) or Disabled(http)
• Provide the name space (by default root/se6x20)
• Change the Timeout value, if needed.
• Click on Add Device

Note : If the Ping facility is disabled for the device, then please uncheck 'Ping the given IP' field.
Note : In case of non discovery of the device, please follow the troubleshooting tips displayed in the webclient and try readding the device.
