Network Bandwidth Monitor

Firewall Analyzer provides you (IT Administrators) an unique way to monitor the bandwidth usage of the network. Firewall Analyzer measures network bandwidth based on the analysis of logs received from different network firewalls. Firewall logs are collected, archived, and analyzed to get granular details about bandwidth across each firewall. You need not deploy any hardware probes or collection agents to get these details on bandwidth.

From the Firewall log information, Firewall Analyzer extract a lot of information about the bandwidth. As a network administrator, you can visualize the behavior pattern of the network bandwidth usage from the reports. Network Bandwidth reports answers to a lot of bandwidth related questions.

  • Which user is using the bandwidth?
  • Which host consumes the bandwidth?
  • What is the bandwidth share of various protocols?
  • When the bandwidth is bursting at the seams?

You will get bandwidth analysis reports for the following:

  • Firewall wise bandwidth usage: upload, download
  • Total intranet bandwidth usage: (internal to the Firewall)
  • Total internet bandwidth usage: (external to the Firewall)

In this report also, the bandwidth usage by each Web, Mail, FTP, Telnet and Streaming and Chat protocol, by each host and Web, Mail, FTP, Telnet and Streaming and Chat protocol and by each user and Web, Mail, FTP, Telnet and Streaming and Chat protocol is displayed. In all the reports, the amount of data sent, received and total of both for each protocol in the graph and table formats are available.

Bandwidth Usage by Inbound and Outbound Traffic

This report provides another granular level bandwidth information for the Inbound and Outbound traffic. In this report, the inbound and outbound bandwidth usage by each host and by each protocol group is displayed. In this report, the amount of total data sent is available in the graph and table formats.

Intranet Bandwidth Usage

This report provides another granular level bandwidth information for the Intranet traffic. In this report, the bandwidth usage by each Intranet host, by each protocol group, by each Intranet server and protocol-wise conversations between Intranet host-destination pair is displayed. In this report, the amount of total data used is available in the graph and table formats.

Internet Bandwidth Usage

This report provides another granular level bandwidth information for the Internet traffic. In this report, the bandwidth usage by each Internet host, by each protocol group, by each Internet site and protocol-wise conversations between Internet host-destination pair is displayed. In this report, the amount of total data used is available in the graph and table formats.
